Privacy

Your data, explained plainly.

What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. No legal jargon.

Last updated 29 September 2026

The short version

  • We collect very little. Your email for the waitlist. Later, your account and the posts you write.
  • We never sell your data. Not now, not ever.
  • Nothing posts to LinkedIn without you. We ask only for permission to publish, never to read your messages or contacts.
  • You can have it all deleted by sending one email.

01 Who we are

Viralaa is a product of Monetize Data AB, a company registered in Sweden (org. nr 559473-9970), at Holmvägen 22 E, Upplands Väsby, Sweden.

For data protection law, Monetize Data AB is the data controller for the information described here. That means we decide what is collected and why, and we are responsible for looking after it.

You can reach us at gowthami@viralaa.com.

02 What we collect, and why

If you join the waitlist

We collect the email address you type into the form, and the date you joined. We use it to tell you when Viralaa opens, and occasionally to share progress before then. Nothing else.

If you reply to us or send feedback, we keep that message so we can answer you and improve the product.

If you create a Viralaa account (once we launch)

  • Account details — your name and email address, and a password or sign-in method.
  • LinkedIn connection — see the next section.
  • Your content — the topics you choose, drafts you write or edit, and posts you schedule.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage information — basic technical records such as when you log in and which features you use, so we can keep the service working and improve it.

03 The LinkedIn connection

Viralaa only works with LinkedIn if you choose to connect your account. When you do, you are sent to LinkedIn, and LinkedIn asks you directly whether you allow it. You can say no, and you can change your mind later.

What we ask LinkedIn for: your basic profile details (name, headline, profile photo, email address) so we know who you are, and permission to publish posts, comments and reactions on your own behalf.

What we never ask for: your LinkedIn password, your private messages, your connections list, or anything belonging to other people.

Nothing is published without you. Every draft waits for your approval. There is no mode in which Viralaa posts as you unsupervised.

The access LinkedIn gives us is stored in encrypted form and is only used to do the things you have asked for. You can disconnect LinkedIn inside Viralaa at any time, and you can also remove our access yourself from your LinkedIn settings, under Data privacy and then Permitted services.

LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation. Viralaa is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn.

04 Our legal grounds

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we must have a lawful basis for each use of your data:

05 Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We share it only with the suppliers who help us run Viralaa, and only as far as they need it:

  • Website and form hosting — to run viralaa.com and receive waitlist signups.
  • Email delivery — to send the emails you have asked for.
  • AI providers — to generate draft posts from the topics and material you give us.
  • Payment processing — to take subscription payments once we launch.
  • Hosting and storage — to run the service and keep your data safe.

Each of these acts on our instructions under a written agreement, and none of them may use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

06 Where your information is stored

We aim to keep personal data within the European Union or the European Economic Area. Some of our suppliers are based outside the EU, most commonly in the United States. Where that is the case, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

If you would like to know which suppliers we currently use, write to us and we will tell you.

07 How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and in any case no longer than three years after our last contact with you.
  • Account and content data — for as long as you have an account, and up to 90 days after you close it, so it can be restored if you change your mind.
  • Invoices and accounting records — seven years, as Swedish bookkeeping law requires.

08 Your rights

Wherever you live, and especially if you are in the EU or EEA, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • stop or limit how we use it;
  • send your data to you or another provider in a portable format;
  • stop sending you marketing emails, which you can also do with the unsubscribe link in any email.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. That does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Write to gowthami@viralaa.com and we will respond within one month.

09 Cookies

Our website uses only what is needed to make the page work, and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

10 Children

Viralaa is a tool for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11 Security

We protect your information with measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption of data in transit and of the LinkedIn access we hold, restricted access for our team, and regular review of our suppliers. No service can promise perfect security, but we take this seriously, particularly because Viralaa is trusted with something as personal as your professional reputation.

12 Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will email you about it.
